BARN ASSISTANT POSITIONS AVAILABLE

 SHOKOTA IS LOOKING FOR 1-2 ASSISTANTS AT THE RANCH, STARTING IMMEDIATELY.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn to cultivate a relationship with a horse, handling and working the horse in the Vaquero tradition of horsemanship.  

This is a unpaid position that includes barn work, grooming horses, tending to the grounds, in exchange for lessons. As well, we have 3-4 rusty horses who need your assistance in brushing up on their groundwork.

You must be available 3-4 hours a day (or more, if you choose), 3 or more days a week. 

You must be fit and able to perform a variety of tasks for several hours in the day, as well as have experience in handling horses.

Come by and watch our Saturday morning lesson (beginning at 10:30 AM) to get an idea of what we do and how we operate at Shokota. We are proud to carry on the Vaquero tradition of horsemanship and feel confident that, once observed, you will be intrigued and ready to take on the challenge of learning this horsemanship tradition, bettering your relationship with your horse, your life, and that of your horse!
